With a wall of windows providing a breath taking view of the Atlantic coastline is the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club's signature restaurant - the Seahorse Grille. The restaurant is open for dinner and Sunday Brunch, serving members of the Ponte Vedra Club and guests staying at the Ponte Vedra Lodge.
Chef Erik Osol is passionate about his profession, his cuisine and very importantly, sourcing local and regional ingredients to create an ambitious seasonal menu. A Boston native who loves to travel, he has worked across the United States, in Italy and Indonesia. Before making his home in Jacksonville he was well known in New York City. He is dedicated to introducing the staff and guests to local produce, products, and preparations that showcase the quality and diversity of the South.
Growing towers set on decks near the oceanfront are starting to provide lettuces and greens to supplement menu salads. The menu features Southern Charcuterie made in-house including pork belly, Tasso ham, smoked sausage, pickles and pimento cheese. Other in-house specialties include pasta, preserved lemon, and numerous relishes and sauces. Local and regional producers such as Congaree and Penn, Traders Hill Farms, GYO Greens, Sweet Grass Dairy, and “the mushroom man” are showcased in creative dishes.
Stepping into this very special kitchen demonstrates the staff’s dedication and commitment to building a well-informed culinary team that respects the local bounty and showcases some of the finest regional producers. Chef Osol’s relationship with local farmers, growers and fishermen is strong and still growing as he networks and seeks quality ingredients.
