Freshly made, hand crafted, locally sources, and seasonal are just some of the adjectives tasters use to describe Allison D’Aurizio’s special homemade delights. What began as a family request and special order pie delivery operation has grown into a community of loyal followers and new converts placing orders and lining up at the farmers market stand to buy these tasty treats. Allison makes no secret that pie, cake, galettes, curds and handmade creations are in her genes. She learned the skill of baking at her grandmother’s side whose pecan pies were of legendary stuff. However, it is more than grandmother’s influence that convinced Allison to commit to the artistry of baking. She has experience in the catering business, is married to a chef, and has a passion for turning fresh, locally sourced, sustainably grown ingredients into delicious tasty sweets and savory delights.

Community relationships with growers, farmers, and backyard gardeners are evident in MGP’s list of ingredients. Blueberries from Harrietts Bluff Organic Blueberry Farm, Trader Hill eggs, regional pecans, Karma Acres, Stubbies, and Cross Creek Honey, KYV and Down to Earth organic farms, Urban Folk, Congaree and Penn farms, and citrus from her sons gleaning project are just some of MGP’s local sources. Allison makes her own pure extracts and uses locally distilled vodka in the process. Taste the difference.
