CORNER TACO

 

Owner Chris Dickerson is cooking up authentic ”Mexclectic” tacos and more at Corner Taco on Post Street in Jacksonville. He has built a fine following of “foodies” from his early Neptune Beach location who enjoy good, healthy foods in the Mexican tradition. His menu includes fresh, made to order Tacos, Nachos, Salads, Sides and Vegan options, along with a specially sourced menu for children. Corner Taco’s from scratch sauces are made in house. Local, seasonal, artisanal, and clean foods are a priority for Chef Chris. When he says his menu is fresh, he really means it as he places the homemade ground corn dough daily through the specially made taco machine rollers and then onto the sizzling hot griddle. The cheese topping for the Nachos is made with fresh cheddar and brie cheese, tomatoes from nearby farms, and roasted peppers. Chris marinates in his Fresh Thyme Vinaigrette from his sister company, Corner Natural Foods You can find this vinaigrette at local natural and fresh food markets (see separate listing).

Chris realizes his passion for simple, clean, authentic food after earning an American Culinary Federation diploma through apprenticeship at the Cloister on Sea Island, GA. and work at the Little Nell in Aspen, CO. He has been invited to cook with many notable chefs during his career, including Paul Bocuse and Ken Vedrinski.
