SOUTHERN HORTICULTURE
Bill Hamilton, owner of Southern Horticulture has made a commitment to the community and to the environment in this one stop shop for all your gardening needs. Here you can find an assortment of plants for the home and for landscape in addition to heirloom and organic seeds. They specialize in native Florida plants and are proponents of xeriscaping to promote water conservation. If you are into vegetable, herb or flower gardening, you can find everything you will need from containers, growing medium, natural pest control products, to organic and natural fertilizers. Southern Horticulture does not use chemical sprays and even offers lady bugs in the spring to help control insects.
The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and there is print material to guide you in growing native Florida citrus and other plants. During the school year you can find Bill Hamilton teaching groups of school children about gardening and all things growing in North East Florida.
