Each month, we showcase three local businesses that have received our Snail of Approval award, and introduce you to one new award winner in our region. We encourage you to support our Snail Approved Businesses when possible. We also invite you to check back often to read up on those who are making a difference in our growing food community.

Diane's has been a go-to resource for bulk and natural foods in Saint Augustine for the past 30 years. In their brand new (and much larger) location they have expanded their selection of organic produce and goods, which means even happier customers. Drop in and chat with their friendly staff, then head home to cook up something naturally delicious.

Imagine walking through rows of blueberry bushes laden with ripe berries, just ready for picking. That dream becomes a reality when you arrive at Morning Belle Farms, a u-pick farm on the border of North Florida and Georgia. Fill your bucket 'till you can't carry anymore, then hurry home to whip up a fresh, seasonal pie.

Hyperion Brewing Company

The first brewery on Main Street in Springfield Jacksonville, female-owned Hyperion has almost released 200 original recipes in their first year alone. From traditional brews to the quite controversial cheese beer there is always a variety on the menu. Their commitment to their Springfield community is unquestioned. We can't wait to see what they do in year two!

Located in the heart of old town St Augustine, Catch 27 is serious about bringing locally caught seafood to the table along with fresh seasonal ingredients that are predominantly sourced in our region. Longtime St Augustine chef, Josh Smith, has the complete support of owners Stephen and Lindsey Hutson as he shops the farmers market and scours the countryside to learn more about and procure the optimal items needed to make his seasonal menu shine, to call Josh a food enthusiast would be putting it mildly.
